Get to know us

Campamento de la Paz is a community project that brings together children, youth, and artists to explore, learn, and create. Each summer, we open the doors of the Ex Colegio Jesuita in Pátzcuaro to welcome dozens of children from diverse neighborhoods, communities, and schools.

Together, we create a space full of creativity, respect, empathy, and action—where children can be themselves, express what they feel, and imagine new ways of living in harmony with one another and with the planet.

Behind the scenes is a group of volunteers, artists, families, and young leaders who make this possible. Many of them have been with the project since it began eight years ago. Year after year, more people join and help this community grow.

Because we believe in the power of childhood and creativity to transform the world.

What Moves Us

Campamento de la Paz exists to accompany and empower children and youth—especially those who might not otherwise have access to these kinds of experiences. Through art and community collaboration, we create a safe space where young people can express themselves with creativity, coexist with respect, recognize themselves and others with empathy, and begin to imagine a world full of possibilities. A place where we plant seeds of courage and action with purpose to build a better future.

What We Dream

We dream of a world where children and youth are brave creators and compassionate leaders, capable of transforming their surroundings through art, imagination, and their own voices. A future where every young person has access to experiences that awaken their creativity, strengthen their leadership with empathy and respect, and inspire them to take action to build a more just, connected, and hopeful society.

Our team

We work with amazing local artists, young guides who return year after year, and volunteers who are part of this magic. Together, we are building a more connected, joyful, and hopeful future.
