Campamento de La Paz en Pátzcuaro

Creativity, Respect, Empathy and Action

About us

Campamento de la Paz is a year-round arts-based initiative in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, dedicated to nurturing creativity, connection, and community transformation. We bring together children, teens, artists, and educators to explore urgent social and environmental issues through playful action and collective creation. At its core is a commitment to cultivating youth leadership: we support young people as they grow into mentors and role models, gaining the tools, confidence, and vision to guide others. Through theater, music, circus arts, clowning, puppetry, and more, participants develop their voices, embrace their identities, and discover the power of empathy and imagination—anchored in the values of Creativity to imagine, Respect to coexist, Empathy to connect, and Action to transform.

Projects

We foster creativity and confidence in children and youth through a variety of activities.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

This program is designed for teens who have grown up with Campamento de la Paz—those kids who came back summer after summer and now return ready to lead, inspire, and support the younger ones.

CAMPAMENTO DE VERANO

Every summer, Campamento de la Paz becomes the meeting point for many stories. For two weeks, children and teens gather in Pátzcuaro to play, create, and reflect through theater, clowning, music, puppetry, and other performing arts.
